Visiting Information

Friends and family are part of the healing process. However, due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, we must take extra steps to protect our patients, staff, visitors and the community.

We are restricting visitations, including limiting visiting hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Where permitted, patients may have one visitor per day, sometime no visitors. Additionally, no minors are allowed, including family. There are limited exceptions. Thank you for understanding the need for these precautions.

Limited Visitors During Flu Season (Late Fall, Winter and Early Spring Months*)

Due to an increase of respiratory viruses, and for the safety of our patients, families and staff, RUHS Medical Center implements a limited visitors policy during flu season.

Please note:

  • Visitors 18 and under, including family members, are not permitted hospital visitations at this time.
  • For pediatric patients—only parents, grandparents or legal guardians are permitted to visit at this time.
  • Two visitors per patient at any given time, who are well will be permitted to visit during this time.
  • Proper hand hygiene is necessary each time you enter and exit the patient's room.

For non-hospital visits, such as lab, radiology, rehabilitation, surgical waiting area, clinics or emergency department, please avoid bringing extra family members to appointments and waiting areas.

We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause and appreciate your partnership in helping us to protect the patients and families we serve. If you have any questions, please speak to your RUHS nurse or physician.

Potential visitors who are not feeling well, are asked to send their good wishes with a call—951-486-4000—or a card.

*Subject to change. Please check with the patient's nurse for details before arrival.
